Critters

For the past 2 + weeks, Sallie Cat has been living it up at my mom's house. This one-cat feline {read: does not play so well with others of her species} has been ruling the roost, bossing the dog, dictating the other cats, and generally getting loved on as the resident grand-cat.

In another life, folks, you seriously want to come back as one of my mother's beloved pets. Talk about made in the shade.

Today, I'm on my way back to fetch Chunk the Wonder Kitty and bring her to new northwestern digs. Ten hour drive. No sedation for either of us--it's just better that way. Wish me luck.

We spied this little guy crossing the cobblestones outside a church in Brno, Czech Republic. I considered smuggling him back home in my handbag. {If only the mealworm diet weren't so crunchity-ick.}
